OPERATION Errantdance is proving successful in helping to rid the streets of Bradford East of drugs.

It was an undercover police crackdown on 'ring and bring' drug dealers that ran between January and July 2019.

Gangs of dealers have been jailed as a result of the operation, after appearing in Bradford Crown Court.

Here is a look at the sentencings so far:

THREE Bradford drug dealers have been jailed for a total of almost 10 years as part of an undercover police operation into street dealing.

Mansur Shiraj, 31, of Hanover Square, Manningham, admitted seven counts of supplying class A drugs. He was jailed for 44 months.

Riduwan Hussain, 39, of Salisbury Road, Frizinghall, admitted three counts of supplying class A drugs. He was jailed for three years.

Shwaib Ahmed, 23, of Devonshire Terrace, Manningham, admitted two counts of supplying class A drugs. He was jailed for 36 months.

FOUR men and a woman have been jailed for a total of more than 17 years as part of Operation Errantdance.

The defendants were involved with the Tommy Line, that “shamelessly” dealt drugs outside the city’s magistrates court, and the Was Line, that tried to recruit an undercover police officer to drive for it for £500 a week.

Ammaar Arif, 30, of Cecil Avenue, Great Horton, Bradford, and Ziarat Ali, 36, of Glendare Terrace, Lidget Green, Bradford, were involved in the Tommy Line, Bradford Crown Court heard last week.

Ali was locked up for three years and four months after admitting three charges of supplying Class A drugs in March.

Waseem Akhtar, who ran the line, was jailed for four years and eight months.

Akhtar, 33, of Beacon Street, Wibsey, Bradford, admitted 12 offences of Class A drug trafficking and two of possession with intent to supply.

Connor McCarthy, 27, of Swinnow Lane, Bramley, was imprisoned for three years after pleading guilty to eight counts of supplying Class A drugs.

Saira Hussan, 30, of Saxton Street, Liversedge, was jailed for two and a half years. She drove for the Was Line and admitted 10 offences of supplying Class A drugs and two of possession with intent.

Raza Shah, 21, of Gain Lane, Thornbury, Bradford, was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment, suspended for two years, with 300 hours of unpaid work and a six month curfew order.

A DRUG dealer wanted on warrant has been jailed for three years and four months for peddling heroin for the Ali Fiva Line in Bradford city centre.

Usman Ali, a former computer studies student, is the latest defendant to be locked up as part of Operation Errantdance, an undercover police crackdown on street dealers.

Ali, 26, of St Mary’s Road, Manningham, Bradford, pleaded guilty to five counts of supplying heroin, between February 13 and April 1 last year.

SEVEN drug dealers were locked up for a total of nearly 22 years as part of an undercover police operation.

They all admitted supplying class A drugs to undercover police officers in Spring 2019 in what the Recorder of Bradford Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC described as “an evil trade blighting lives” on January 14 this year.

TWO Sully Line drug dealers were jailed for a total of eight and a half years.

Darren Perrow, already serving a six-year and nine-month sentence for peddling cocaine and heroin, was locked up for three and a half years at Bradford Crown Court in December last year.

His co-accused Leon Williams was jailed for five years for drug dealing and burgling a 75-year-old man’s home.

A TEENAGER caught selling drugs on his bicycle for the J Line dealer ring was attacked and exploited by those higher up the chain, Bradford Crown Court heard.

Einaras Siberkstis was 18 when he was assaulted by his unscrupulous bosses and made to continue selling heroin and crack cocaine on the city’s streets, his barrister, Clare Walsh, said.

The slightly built teenager was visibly frightened as he sat in the dock waiting to be sentenced.

Sparing him immediate custody, the judge told him: “You would be eaten alive in a young offender institution.”

Siberkstis, of Newton Street, near Manchester Road, Little Horton, Bradford, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs to an undercover police officer on March 29 last year.

He also admitted supplying crack cocaine to the officer, who was part of Operation Errantdance, on Manningham Lane on April 3.

The Lithuanian national, now aged 19, was of previous good character, the court heard on Monday, February 3.

AN eighth drug trafficker netted by the police crackdown on mobile street dealers in Bradford East has been locked up for three and a half years.

Ibrahim Gul was weighing out and bagging up his own stash of heroin to sell in the city centre when he was snared by undercover officer Libby working for Operation Errantdance.

It was his second conviction for dealing Class A drugs and Gul was warned by the judge imprisoning him today that the sentences would only get longer in

Gul, 21, of Ravens Avenue, Dewsbury, pleaded guilty to three offences of supplying crack cocaine and heroin between March 26 and 28 and possession of heroin with intent to supply on November 13.

A BRADFORD drug dealer who “brazenly” advertised his Scooby Line on promotional T-shirts has been jailed for six years last month.

Wajid Hussain ran his own “ring and bring” crack cocaine and heroin business, paying drivers in hire cars to deliver the wraps and offering cut-price deals, Bradford Crown Court heard today.

Hussain, 27, of Cunliffe Terrace, Manningham, Bradford, who controlled the Scooby Line from April to July last year, pleaded guilty to five counts of supplying Class A drugs.

His driver, Kevin Hodgson, 59, of Washington Street, Girlington, Bradford, was jailed for two years and two months after admitting supplying Class A drugs on June 19 and 20 last year.

FOUR men have been locked up for a total of more than 14 years after a major police operation targeting “ring and bring” drug dealers in BradfordEast.

Bilal Ali, 21, of Whitby Road, Girlington, Bradford, was locked up for four years for peddling drugs for the Sully Line in April and May this year.

Azad Khan, 22, of Pearson Street, Laisterdyke, Bradford, was imprisoned for two and a half years for three offences of supplying Class A drugs in February.

Ibrahim Shah, 20, whose address was given as HMP Doncaster, pleaded guilty to 11 charges of supplying Class A drugs and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin between January and August.

He was locked up for four years and ten months after dealing for the Tommy Line on Sunbridge Road, Bradford.

His co-accused Shahbaaz Khan, 22, of Bempton Place, Little Horton, Bradford, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and one charge of supplying heroin to Emily.

He was jailed for 32 months for drug dealing, plus two months for breach of a community order.
