THE A level results for Hampshire’s colleges and sixth form have been revealed.

The figures released by the government have highlighted the top performing colleges and sixth forms in the UK, as well as the results from colleges in Hampshire.

The table revealed the average grade of the college and the percentage of AAB grades between 2018 and 2019.

An AAB achievement is when a pupil will receive two As and a B in three of their A level exams.

St Anne’s Catholic School in Southampton has an average grade of C and 15.10 per cent of its students achieved an AAB grade.

At Bitterne Park School in Bitterne, 15 per cent of students achieved an AAB grade and the average grade is a C.

Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Shirley students have an average grade of C- and a total of 4.10 per cent achieved an AAB grade.

And at Itchen College, 1.7 per cent achieved an AAB and the average grade is a C.

Peter Symonds College in Winchester has an average grade of B- and 21 per cent of students achieved an AAB grade.

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College achieved an average grade of B- and 11.40 per cent of students gained an AAB grade.

Ringwood School Academy, in the New Forest, received an average grade of B- and 17.10 per cent of students achieved an AAB grade.

King Edward VI School, a private school and sixth form in Southampton, has an average grade of B+ and a total of 42.10 per cent achieved an AAB grade.

Throughout the UK at the top of the pile is King’s College London Maths School, in Lambeth, where 90 per cent of students got three A-levels at grades AAB or higher.

Queen Ethelburga’s College, in Thorpe Underwood, North Yorkshire, was second with 85.7 per cent getting the coveted grade.

Also with AAB pass rates higher than 80 per cent were St Mary’s School Ascot, Concord College in Shropshire, and St Paul’s Girls’ School in Hammersmith & Fulham.
