A DOG food manufacturer has recalled a range of its frozen raw dog food products because they “may pose a risk to human and animal health.”
Happy Hounds has recalled 10 products in total “on a precautionary basis.”
A risk statement on the Food Standards Agency website says: “Sampling undertaken by the company has identified elevated levels of bacteria indicating a potential risk. A withdrawal and recall have been actioned by the company.”
Anyone who has bought any of the products listed have been advised not to use any of them.
People should instead return them to the store where they bought the products in exchange for a full refund.
Pet owners have been advised when handling and serving raw pet food that they should clean utensils and feeding bowls thoroughly after use.
They have also been advised to wash their hands thoroughly afterwards.
