A 14-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery following an incident in Hampshire involving another youngster.
As previously reported, police appealed for information after a teenage boy was approached by a balaclava wearing knifeman on the morning of February 6.
Officers say the boy ran away from the offender and did not suffer any injuries during the incident on Locks Road in Locks Heath.
Now, a 14-year-old boy from Warsash has been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and he remains in custody at this time.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "This weekend we asked for your assistance with an attempted robbery investigation, after a teenage boy was threatened with a knife in Locks Road, Locks Heath on February 6.
"We’d like to update you that we have now arrested a 14-year-old boy from Warsash on suspicion of attempted robbery as part of this investigation and he remains in custody at this time.
"We will endeavour to keep you all updated, but as always thank you for your support."
