THREE teenagers have been arrested after a 17-year-old boy was assaulted and robbed in Eastleigh.

Police are investigating a robbery after a 17-year-old boy reported he was assaulted by a group of boys on Market Street just after 4pm yesterday before having his Apple Air Pod headphones and a ring stolen.

Officers were deployed to the incident and arrested three boys, aged 15, 15, and 16-years-old on suspicion of robbery. All three remain in police custody at this time.

The 17-year-old boy who was robbed has not suffered any lasting injuries however he did seek medical assistance due to a potential head injury.

Officers investigating the incident would urge anyone who witnessed this to get in contact.

Chief Inspector Darren Miller, said “We would really like to speak to anyone who witnesses this incident yesterday afternoon.

“It was a busy time of the day in the town centre and still light, therefore we believe many people saw what happened and some may even have tried to intervene.

“We want to speak to anyone who has information that can help this investigation.

“Officers from Eastleigh Central Neighbourhood Policing Team will be in the area carrying out enquiries and scoping CCTV.
