LOVE is in the air this Valentine's Day while there is also action-packed week of activities on offer across the Bradford district.

Pantos, musicals, dance and alpacas are just some of the attractions during this weekend. Here is a guide:

Right Queer Right Now - A Big Weekender at Theatre in the Mill, Arts & Performance Festival, Thursday - Sunday

Theatre in the Mill will be filled with the talents of gay poets, comedians, theatre-makers and more from Bradford as well as across the UK.

Marni Nixon - The Voice Behind the Stars at Ilkley Playhouse - Friday

Eliza Jackson performs this one-woman show on the most prolific ghost singer of all time, Marni Nixon. Dubbing for over 50 Hollywood films, she was the singing voice for stars such as Audrey Hepburn, Deborah Kerr and Marilyn Monroe.

Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs at Addingham Memorial Hall

Addingham Pantomime Group presents Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. The show will takes place on Friday from 7.30pm and Saturday from 1pm. It will then run between Wednesday, February 19 and Saturday, February 22.

Full Tilt return to the Nightrain, Queensgate, Bradford. The show will be between 9pm and 11pm.

A CBBC Games Half-Term at National Science and Media Museum - Saturday and Sunday

This February half term, discover the world of videogames with CBBC. Try brand new games, have a go at coding and play along with the experts.

There’ll be play zones previewing the latest CBBC game releases from Danger Mouse, The Worst Witch and The Next Step. Play along in a new coding gameshow in Wonderlab, get top tips from the experts, and learn how user testing helps improve CBBC’s games.

Alpaca Trekking at Thornwood Alpaca Trekking Animal Event, from Saturday

The visit will include an introduction to the herd, a walk along the footpath through our farm fields, a chance to feed the alpacas and loads of feed and photo stops.

Suitable for anyone over the age of five.

Children between the ages of five and 12 will have a second lead rein and share an alpaca with an adult.

Children over 12 are able to lead their own alpaca. Younger children can also walk Herbert, their therapy and trekking sheep on their own.

Educating Bradford at Bradford Industrial Museum Exhibition, Saturday and Sunday onwards

Since the famous Education Act of 1870, Bradford has been a national pioneer in education and child development.

Educating Bradford is a family friendly exhibition that celebrates 150 years of education in Bradford, from 1870 to the present day;

It also shows how modern teaching methods are still influenced by 19th and 20th century educational and child healthcare reforms;

This exhibition is inspired by the landmark book Education in Bradford 1870-1970 which provided a detailed description and celebration of learning in the city. 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of its publication.

Tree Felling Using Handsaws Workshop at Denso Marston Nature Reserve Workshop/Course, Baildon, Saturday and Sunday, free entry

Come and learn how to fell trees using handsaws. Visitors will find out how look at the safe methods of how to fell small trees and how to create a wildlife habitat using the wood felled.

The event will take place on both days between 10am and 2pm. Workshops are held at the Education Centre and are limited to six places.

Your Bradford at TiM Square - Children's Activity Event, from Saturday, free entry

Your Bradford will be hosted at the TiM Square in City Park, near Bradford libraries, with poet Sharena Lee Satti, rapper Lence and writer Steve Clarkson.

There will be two workshop sessions - both between 10am and 4pm - on Saturday, February 15.

Join them for fun, creative and easy going activities. The activities will be suitable for everyone and you are welcome to drop in at any point and stay as long as you like.

Community Cinema - Sunshine On Leith at Bingley Arts Centre - Saturday

Sunshine on Leith is based on the sensational stage hit of the same name, featuring music by pop-folk band The Proclaimers.

The film follows the stories of Davy and Ally, who have to re-learn how to live life in Edinburgh after coming home from serving in Afghanistan.

Heritage Singers at Bradford Cathedral - Saturday and Sunday

Heritage singers were founded in 1994 by Tim Knight to restore and maintain the Anglican Choral Tradition in churches that no longer had choirs, and also to stand in for Cathedral choirs in holiday periods.

Visit the exhibition 'Assignments 2019' in the gallery, by the British Press Photographers Association.
