THREE teenagers have have been arrested after a 16-year- old boy was assaulted and robbed in Andover.

The youngster was assaulted by a group of males in the park between Topaz Drive and King George Road just after 6pm on Thursday February 13.

He received a cut lip and bruising during the incident and his bag was stolen by the offenders.

Now, three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

A 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy, both from Basingstoke, and a 14-year-old boy from Tadley were arrested and are being kept in police custody.

Officers are also appealing for witnesses with information on the incident.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "We are investigating after receiving a report of a robbery in an Andover park. It was reported that a 16-year-old boy was assaulted by a group of males in the park between Topaz Drive and King George Road, just after 6pm on Thursday 13 February. The victim’s bag was stolen. He sustained a cut lip and bruising.

"Enquiries into the circumstances of what took place are ongoing and we would like to hear from anyone with information on this incident. Were you in this area at the time? Did you see what happened?
