THE developer of Kings Barton has launched a new community bursary in Hampshire.

Local charities, schools, community groups and good causes in the area are invited to apply for a share of the funding from CALA Homes.

The initiative is now in its fourth year and to date has supported more than 300 worthy causes in the areas in which CALA builds, awarding over £300,000 to a wide variety of organisations including environmental charities, cancer support groups, foodbanks and sports clubs. This year the housebuilder will make a further £100,000 available across the UK.

Alison Deakin, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes Thames, said: “CALA is committed to making a positive and lasting contribution to communities and we’re delighted to launch our bursary initiative in Hampshire for the first time.

“We look forward to hearing from a wide variety of local charities and good causes, and discovering not only the vital difference they make to the community, but also how we can support, sustain and amplify the great work that is being done in the area.”

To apply, go to cala.co.uk/bursary by March 6.
