TO mark the new £20 note released this Thursday, three Yorkshire York bank notes, representing Leeds, Sheffield, each featuring Nicola Adams, Sean Bean, and Dame Judi Dench have been created as part of a range of five regional bank notes.
The five designs, created by Equity Release Supermarket, imagine what bank notes would look like if issued regionally, as opposed to notes just for England and Scotland, and include hidden security features unique to the stars on each note.
The other cities included are Manchester and Glasgow.
There’s also a public vote, asking which region of the UK should have a Great British Bank Note designed next, and which famous face should star on it.
With voting close, there’s still plenty of time for your readers to change the table, and suggest who they want to see feature on the next note. Popular suggestions so far include Delia Smith, Idris Elba, Sean Connery and Piers Morgan.
Readers can still vote for which city they want to see get its own £20 next, and who they want to see appear on it at Defining a nation: the bespoke bank notes of Britain’s cities
But who could appear on a possible Bradford note if it was produced in the future and why?
Zayn Malik, Dynamo, JB Priestley or David Hockney? Who would you include on a Bradford note. Why not tell us in the comments section of this story.
