AN area close to Hartlepool’s train station was cordoned off by police on Wednesday evening.
It is understood that a teenager was taken to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after being stabbed.
The North East Ambulance service confirmed it took a patient to hospital for treatment.
A heavy police presence was at the town’s Transport Interchange, at the top of Church Street, with a number of vehicles parked in the area.
Cleveland Police have yet to comment.
On Sunday evening, a number of restaurants were forced to close in the Marina area after a group of 50 youths descended on businesses.
KFC, McDonald's, Subway and Costa in Marina Way were all affected after one member of staff said up to 50 youths congregated in the restaurants and outside.
A dispersal order was yesterday put in place for areas of Middleton Road, A179, A689, A178, Church Street, Maritime Avenue, Victoria Terrace, Slake Terrace and Fleet Avenue; including all streets and roads within the area.
