MORE than 90 years ago the locals of Fawley put on their smartest clothes and the ladies all wore hats to come out in force to take part in the village’s annual carnival. Small boys all wore flat caps and little girls were in their best frocks for the event which was captured in this 1927 photograph and now in the Daily Echo archive.
