A PLANE carrying British passengers from the coronavirus-hit Diamond Princess cruise ship to Boscombe Down has been delayed by a day.
As reported, the aircraft was expected to leave Tokyo late tonight.
But now the British embassy has confirmed the flight will leave on Saturday as it is "logistically complicated", the BBC reports.
This means the 70 UK national - who have been quarantined on the ship for the past 16 days – will now have to wait just a little longer before heading home.
When they touch down tomorrow, they will be transported to the Arrowe Park Hospital in Wirral.
