- Major Bradford road 'impassable' after morning snowfall with delays on many other main routes
A MAJOR Bradford motorway carriageway has been closed due to flooding.
The northbound carriageway of the M606, near junction three (Staithgate Roundabout), was shut at around 10.54am.
One motorist earlier described how water and melted snow was beginning to collect under the bridge, near the roundabout.
They said at the time that one lane had been wiped out, with another close to that outcome.
Traffic is being forced onto the junction three roundabout and cannot go onto the A6177 (Rooley Lane) from the M606.
The motorist added that the flooding was having a residual effect on the M62.
There were queues back to junction 24 (Ainley Top) on the eastbound carriageway.
