A DEVELOPER has started work on 91 homes at Burridge Green at North Whiteley.

The Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties homes at Whiteley Meadows is part of the first phase of development on the consortium site, which when completed will comprise of 3,500 homes.

Taylor Wimpey will also be substantially contributing towards Hampshire County Council, supporting education provisions with three new schools and two community centres.

Roz Wells, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, said: “We are pleased to have started construction at Burridge Green.

“The site will not only provide residents from around the local area with a great selection of homes, but it offers excellent commuter links to nearby Portsmouth, Southampton and easy access to the M27.

“As one of the largest homebuilders in the UK, we are committed to building more than just houses, making sure we add social, economic and environmental value to the wider communities that we operate in.”

In line with planning permissions, Taylor Wimpey has allocated a proportion to much-needed affordable housing, with one- and two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom homes available for shared ownership.

“There is a never-ending list of reasons to make the move to Burridge Green at Whiteley Meadows”, added Roz. “From the idyllic location and extensive landscaping, to the range of house types and financial support schemes in place, we’d urge anyone interested in the development to visit the Taylor Wimpey website and register for updates.”
