HUNDREDS of Virgin Media and Sky customers across Hampshire are affected by a major broadband and mobile outage which has lasted for several hours.
A number of customers have taken to Twitter to report issues with services which started at around midnight on Wednesday.
The issue is continuing today with some Sky customers unable to use the internet or make calls.
Service checker websites say Southampton and Bournemouth are among the most reported locations for issues within the past 24 hours.
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We are aware of an issue affecting services for customers in Southampton and some surrounding areas. We are working to fix the issue as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience.”
Meanwhile Sky has reported that customers across the South East of England and the Isle of Wight may not be able to get online or make or receive calls.
