SCORES of youngsters descended on a green corner of Eastleigh for one of the most popular events on the fun run calendar.
Parents watched on with pride as more than 800 youngsters came under starter’s orders for the Eastleigh 2k fun run.
The sprint around Fleming Park on March 19, 2000, was the curtain raiser to the main 10k event which attracted runners from all across the county.
Winners in the nine to 12 age group were Rebecca Gough of Stubbington and James Hillier of Toynbee School.
