Castle Hill in Winchester: location of Winchester Coroners Court
SOUTHAMPTON police found a man dead at home after his family raised concerns, an inquest heard.
Gary Jules Richards, 59, was found at his flat on Orchard Lane on January 7.
Area coroner Jason Pegg at Winchester Coroner's Court said Mr Richards' family had grown concerned about his whereabouts and alerted the police.
A post-mortem was conducted and a preliminary cause of death was given a toxicity of a prescribed drug.
Mr Pegg adjourned the hearing until August 24.
