TWO teenage boys arrested following police probe into Fareham and Gosport illegal drugs use.

The arrests have been made by Police in Fareham and Gosport, as officers carried out a probe into illegal drugs use in the area.

Officers arrested a 15-year-old boy from Gosport on the morning of March 7, on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply, who was released from custody but remains under investigation.

Meanwhile two teenagers near to Ferneham Hall car park in Osborn Road, Fareham were searched on the evening of Saturday March 7.

This resulted in a 16-year-old boy being arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A and Class B drugs, and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was released from custody but remains under investigation as enquiries continue.

Later that night, officers spoke with two men in a car near Portchester Castle and seized a small amount of cannabis.

A 27-year-old man from Gosport was dealt with by means of community resolution for possession of cannabis, whereby he must attend a drugs course.

A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: "Our officers have been making arrests to tackle illegal drug use and supply in Fareham and Gosport this weekend.
