AGE was no barrier for the 54 veteran cyclists who set off on a 100-mile round trip from Southampton in June, 1986.
Sporting a tracksuit, the then-Mayor of Southampton, Jack Candy, started off the ride that would take the cyclists up the Test Valley, through the Wallops to Upton and then back to the Civic Centre in Southampton.
