IT WAS not a good idea to mention Greenwich Mean Time to the lads of Eastleigh Boys Club back in October of 1980.

As the clocks were turned back one hour and everyone enjoyed another hour’s sleep, these youngsters were taking part in a 50-hour snooker marathon to raise money for charity.

Pictured taking a shot was Paul Herbert, then aged 16, with some bleary-eyed friends during the marathon snooker game.
