A Southampton-based chip shop is now offering "non-contact deliveries" for people in self isolation.
Lowford Fish bar on Portsmouth Road, Southampton is offering the service for people who are in self isolation or people who are practising social distancing.
A spokesperson said: "Due to the growing concerns about the spread of the coronavirus, we are able to offer those customers wishing to practice social distance the option to request delivery drivers to notify you of delivery and then leave your food delivery on the doorstep so no personal contact is made. All orders must be placed on our website and paid for online so to avoid the risk of personal cash handling and please make it clear in the notes section when placing your order that you wish for a ‘Non-Contact’ delivery."
While delivery is currently available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday Evenings from 4.45pm until 9pm, the company is looking into extending this to run from Monday through to Saturday, and this will be updated on its Facebook page.
