PLANS for a sewage treatment plant have been submitted.
A 60-year-old house, which was located at Oakwood Farm, Steplake Lane, Sherfield English, was recently demolished and replaced by a brand new five bedroom detached dwelling.
It has been successfully served by a drainage tank up until now.
Due to the new house, plans have been lodged to Test Valley Borough Council to replaced the tank with a new sewage tank facing away from the dwelling.
Appropriate drainage will be installed to lead the sewage into an existing stream.
A small concrete patio will cover the tank to prevent weed growth.
The proposal will go ahead of planning chiefs on Thursday, May 7.
