A NUMBER of schools are closing across Hampshire amid the coronavirus outbreak.

While the government announced that all schools and colleges will be closing their doors tomorrow evening until further notice, some schools in Southampton, Eastleigh, Fareham, the New Forest and the Test Valley are already closing, or partially closing due to COVID-19.

Here is a full list of schools closures:

  • St Anne's Catholic School will be closed to years 8 and 9 for the rest of the week.
  • Bitterne Park School in Southampton: Full closure for all years.
  • Thornhill Primary School: Partial closure of year R, year 1 and year 5.
  • Woodlands Community College in Southampton: Closed to year 9 students only.
  • The Cedar School in Southampton: Full closure
  • Bridgemary School in Gosport: closed to Year 9 students.
  • Brookfield Community School: partially closed due to a shortage of staff - the school is closed to year 8 and 10 students.
  • Cams Hill School in Fareham: Year 9 pupils are being asked to work from home.
  • Crofton School in Stubbington: Years 9 and 10 should remain at home.
  • Fareham Academy: Closed to year 8 and 10 pupils.
  • Locks Heath Junior School in Warsash: Families with the surname A – L to stay at home.
  • Crestwood Community School in Shakespeare Road: closed for year 8 and 9 students only.
  • Hamble School: Closed for year 7 and 10 students only.
  • Poppies Town Pre-School in Eastleigh: Closed until further notice.
  • Toynbee School in Chandler's Ford: Closed to year 9 and 10 students only.
  • Wyvern College in Fair Oak: Closed to year 9 and 10 students only.
  • Hounsdown School in Totton: closed to year 10 students only.
  • New Forest Academy: closed to year 9 and 10 students only.
  • Ringwood School: Closed to year 9 students only.
  • Romsey School: Closed to year 8 students only.
