Rainbows are popping up in windows worldwide - and Southampton hasn't escaped the new phenomenon.

The symbol of hope is being placed in the front of properties as youngsters are forced to stay home in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Mainly produced by children, the colourful creations are popping up all over the city and are providing a source of happiness during tough times.

We'd love you to share yours with us to give us all a welcome lift.

I've started with a photo of my children Poppy, aged five, and two-year-old Alice who enjoyed making rainbow pictures and displaying them in the front window of our home in Shirley.

They were so thrilled with the amount of rainbows they spotted on our family walk to The Common at the weekend that they produced more for their grandparents in Rownhams and other family around the country as well.

But I've spotted much larger and more elaborate creations behind windows and on walls and fences and heard stories of school friends waving to each other through the window of rainbows.

Get involved and show us your rainbows below.
