A PLAN to extend a house in Winchester to include a gym has been given the go-ahead.
The applicants had applied to the city council for a single storey extension onto their home in Sleepers Hill, along with internal reconfigurations.
As part of the plan a gym was proposed which concerned a neighbour regarding a window in the room looking directly into their property.
However, the city council’s planning committee put a condition that obscure glass should be used, which was agreed by applicants Mr and Mrs Stevenson.
The application was given the go-ahead and the homeowners are required to plant six new trees replacing those felled to allow work to be carried out.
