IT use to connect two of Blackburn’s most popular public buildings - the pedestrian walkway that linked King George’s Hall and the library.
The glass walkway across Northgate was a familiar sight for a number of years but latterly it was closed off to the public.
And in 2013 it was taken away - lifted out virtually in one piece by a giant crane - as part of a £2million refurbishment project for the library aimed at returning the building to its 1920s’ splendour
