A CANCER charity has launched a £50,000 appeal to ensure it can continue to be there for the thousands of local people living with cancer in Hampshire, Dorset and Isle of Wight.
Hoping to support people during the coronavirus pandemic and in the future, Wessex Cancer Trust has been forced to temporarily close its support centres as a result of COVID-19.
It has introduced new ways for clients to access help, such as a Facebook support group, telephone helplines, online videos and articles, live sound therapy, weekly check-in calls, and telephone and online counselling.
CEO Cait Allen, said: “We exist to support thousands of local people at a time in their lives they most need it. Now, they need us more than ever."
