MORE than 200 patients who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Hampshire, a jump of 27 deaths.
Figure release by the NHS today have revealed that a further 27 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Hampshire, bringing the total number of death to 206.
The figures cover the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.
At the UHS, 53 people who were diagnosed with the virus have died.
This is a jump of eight from 45 in the last 24 hours.
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust has recorded a total of three deaths.
Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the Queen Alexandra Hospital Cosham, has now recorded a total of 95 deaths.
The Portsmouth Trust death toll rose by 10 from 85 in 24 hours.
A total of 55 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The Trust handles Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Alton Community Hospital.
This is an increase of six deaths in the last 24 hours.
Across the UK, 8,114 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, a rise of 866 deaths in 24 hours.
