A FURTHER 19 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Hampshire.

Figures release by the NHS today have revealed that another 19 coronavirus patients have died in Hampshire in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of death to 236.

The figures cover the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust.

At the UHS, 63 people who were diagnosed with the virus have died, a rise of seven deaths in 24 hours.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust has recorded a total of four deaths, which has not changed since yesterday.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which runs the Queen Alexandra Hospital Cosham, has now recorded a total of 109 deaths.

The Portsmouth Trust death toll rose by seven, from 102 to 109 in 24 hours.

A total of 60 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with five deaths since yesterday.

The Trust handles Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, Andover War Memorial Hospital, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Alton Community Hospital.

Across the UK, 10,532 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died, a rise of 657 deaths in 24 hours.
