A LEADING Hampshire legal firm has launched a new community initiative to help businesses and individuals work together and support each other through the coronavirus crisis.

The Paris Smith Community Hub is a free resource offering advice and ideas for sharing to aid physical and mental wellbeing in these difficult and challenging times.

People can also contribute their own ideas on the site.

The Southampton-based firm says everyone is working and living in a new environment and each day provides a learning experience about ourselves, others and the world.

The hub has been launched in association with LOCALiQ, the digital marketing arm of Newsquest, publisher of the Southern Daily Echo.

Among the categories covered are:

  • Physical well-being
  • mental well-being
  • nutrition
  • remote working
  • families
  • business leadership
  • community information
  • pregnancy

Paris Smith managing partner, Peter Taylor, said: “We are in unprecedented times and not surprisingly some of us, as well as our colleagues, family and wider community are finding it challenging, feeling anxious or isolated.

“At Paris Smith we wanted to offer support in the best way we can.

“We recognise that to perform at one’s best it is important to be healthy, both in body and mind and so we hoped that by offering advice in one place it may be of support to our community.

“With the help of our founding partner, LocaliQ, along with that of our contributors, we have established The PS Community Hub to support individuals who are now working away from their usual workplace, routine and comforts.

“The Community Hub is to help anyone in the business or wider community reach their personal goals and enjoy their life as fully as possible in what is now a very different working environment.

“It is an entirely free resource for people both to access and contribute tips and techniques to support physical and mental wellbeing whilst working remotely.”

Sales director for LOCALiQ, Laura Bielinski, said: “This is a fantastic and incredibly valuable initiative that will clearly be of huge benefit to many people.

“We are absolutely delighted to support the PS Community Hub and play our part in publicising it. The hub will really make a difference now and in looking forward and helping our community and region to thrive.”
