A SOUTHAMPTON man who was discovered dead in his home was not found for three weeks.
Raymond Jeffery Adams was found by police at his home on Napier Road on September 11 last year after his neighbour had not seen or heard from him in three weeks.
The neighbour reported his concerns to the police, who arrived at the property to check on his wellbeing.
Mr Adams was found hanged in his home by officers, and a postmortem confirmed he had been dead for around three weeks.
A toxicology report found that Mr Adams had a high level of alcohol in his system when he died.
The coroner ruled that Mr Adams was taking part in and act of autoerotic asphyxiation and his death was put down to misadventure.
It was ruled Mr Adams died from asphyxiation and alcohol toxicity.
