Net;ey signa; box
BACK in 1982 a signal box took to the air when it was moved from Netley to Ropley.
The redundant box, which served Netley for many years, was heading for the Mid-Hants Watercress railway line,where it would be repainted in its original London and South-Western Railways colours.
Netley’s signal box was craned off its old site and then placed on a truck for its journey.
