FOUR firefighter crews rushed to a blaze at a residential nursing home this afternoon.
The fire involved a cooker in the kitchen of a flat at Ironside Court Housing Care, on Hamtun Street, in Southampton City Centre.
Crews from St Mary's, Redbridge, Hightown and Eastleigh were called to the scene at 2pm.
SCAS were also requested to attend, however there have been no reports of injuries.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "There was a fire involving a cooker in the kitchen of the flat, which was extinguished using one hose reel, two jets and tactical ventilation for smoke clearance.
"All persons were accounted for and the stop message came in at 2.41pm.
"SCAS were also requested but the log does not mention any casualties."
