A SOUTHAMPTON man who was caught drug driving on four separate occasions has been jailed.

Ali Jan Yaqubi, 46, was first caught drug driving on December 28 on Briton Street, Southampton.

He was then caught drug driving on Lyon Street on January 4, before he was caught drug driving again on Shirley Road on January 7.

Hi final offence took place on January 13, where he was found drug driving on The Compass in Southampton.

He was found to have benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - and cocaine in his system on each offence.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court, he pleaded guilty to eight counts of drug driving and one count of with an illegal depth of tyre tread.

Yaqubi, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton, was jailed for 12 weeks in total and was disqualified from driving for five years.

He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.
