Members of Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Society unload a new addition to its collection more than 50 years ago.

The society was founded in 1961 with the aim of establishing a public narrow gauge railway in Hampshire. Since then it has evolved into an equipment operating group.

With bases at Bursledon Brickworks Museum, just outside Southampton, and the Kew Bridge Steam Museum in West London, it conserves and operates narrow gauge equipment dating back to the end of the 19th century.
