THREE people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in Hampshire in the last 24 hours, figures reveal.

Data released by the NHS show that the death toll has risen to 512 across the region, up from 509 yesterday.

The statistics cover University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

At UHS, a total of 156 people have lost their lives, up by one in 24 hours.

While at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 140 people have died, with no new deaths since Tuesday.

A total of 200 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a rise of one since yesterday.

There have been no more coronavirus related deaths at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust where 15 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19.

This figure has remained the same since May 1.
