IT TOOK a gang of four men to work on this huge propeller that belonged to the old Cunard liner Queen Mary undergoing refit back in October, 1948.
The liner had been taken out of service and entered the former King George V dry dock in Southampton’s Western Docks for the wide-ranging period of maintenance and refurbishment.
