CLIENTS, staff and supporters from a charity based in Southbourne hosted ‘The 100 Challenge’ to honour Colonel Tom Moore’s 100 birthday, raising £1,300 for their services.

Stable Family Home Trust teamed up with online fitness company The Gym Tin to complete of set of gruelling challenges to celebrate the 100-year-old’s fundraising efforts in raising £30million for NHS charities Together.

Staff members and supporters took on the challenge on Thursday April 30 raise vital funds for the charity’s care services and create awareness for people they support with learning disabilities in Dorset and Hampshire.

Fund Development Officer for Stable Family Home Trust Tracey Hickford said: “They were so inspired by Captain Tom’s mammoth fundraising achievements, that clients, staff and supporters of the charity got together and took part in a range of challenges involving the number 100!

“Lead by their fitness coaches Rob Mangles and Jenny Palmer, everyone completed either 100 x 25m laps of walking, jogging or chair-based movements between three reps of an exercise to represent each of Captain Tom’s medals.

“The event was great success and an amazing achievement from everyone who was involved, ultimately raising £1,350.75 from the night.”

The challenge was broadcasted live via Zoom on the Stable Family Home Trust and Gym Tin Facebook pages.
