Roger Daltrey strutted his stuff, swinging the microphone, Keith Moon played like a maniac, Pete Townshend played lead guitar like a dervish, while the only inactivity came from bassist John Entwistle, who, as usual, propped himself up against an amplifier and hardly moved.
They played favourites like Magic Bus, My Generation and excerpts from the rock opera, Tommy.
The group were in Southampton in October 1971 with a concert at Southampton Guidlhall, where they dazzled the audience with their performance
