Itchen Bridge
THE looming form of the Itchen Bridge in Southampton takes shape in this stunning aerial photograph taken in 1976 during its construction.
Soaring 28 metres and with a span of 800 metres,the finished bridge cost £12.2m to build.
The road carries more than seven million vehicles a year.
