ARMED police were on the streets and a helicpoter used in a manhunt on a day violence and chaos across Southampton and Eastleigh.
In one incident a male driver fled after four cars were severely damaged when a white Jaguar ploughed into them.
In another a female driver was arrested after ploughing into ten cars while being pursue by officers.
And in another incident armed officers swooped on an address and told residents to stay indoors during a separate operation.
Earlier a Jaguar was driven across Shirley after failing to stop for police on Romsey Road on Tuesday night.
It then crashed into a car into St James Road at around 10pm.Witnesses say the Jaguar was travelling "very fast" and "ricocheted" into at least four parked cars.
According to police, the driver fled the scene however two male passengers were rushed to hospital with one suffering serious injuries.
A manhunt was then launched with a police helicopter hovering above the city for much of the night.
An armed response unit raided a home in Imperial Avenue in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A man was later arrested under suspicion of failing to stop for police.
Meanwhile, in Eastleigh, a 28-year-old female driver was bundled into the back of a police car after smashing up at least ten cars including her own.
Arnold Road was described as "carnage" on Tuesday afternoon.
One witness has said how a red Ford Fiesta swerved into Arnold Road chased by two police cars.
The driver then smashed into parked cars either side of the road writing-off multiple vehicles.
When a 4x4 pulled over to let her pass it is alleged she drove head-on into it while trying to ram it out the way.
A man reportedly ran out of his house and lunged through the woman's window.
He snatched her keys from the ignition to stop her trail of destruction.
She was later arrested on suspicion of failing to stop for police, dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit, failing to provide a specimen, and four offences of assaulting an emergency worker.
And yesterday residents say around 20 police officers, some armed and wearing riot gear, swooped on an address in Landguard Road.
The road was shut and residents told to stay indoors while officers arrested two teenagers, one just 13.
On Tuesday the police dog unit was used while officers sealed off and searched a house in Shirley.
Police were called to Beech Road in an operation to crackdown on suspected drug deals.
Officers linked the incident to Operation Fortress as part of Hampshire Police’s crackdown on county lines drug trafficking.
