A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after crashing her car into a tree.

Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the A338 Salisbury Road, north of Ringwood, at 2.34am on Friday, May 22, after a Toyota Corolla had collided with a tree.

A fire crew from Ringwood attended the scene near Mockbeggar Lane following reports a woman was trapped in the vehicle.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "We were called at 2.34am this on Friday, May 22, to reports of a collision on the A338, Ringwood, after a Toyota Corolla had collided with a tree.

"The driver, a 52-year-old woman from Ringwood, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She was taken to hospital to be treated."
