CAROLINE Nokes is among the Conservative MP's who have publicly criticised the actions of Dominic Cummings for allegedly breaking social distancing guidelines.

The MP for Romsey and Southampton North took to Twitter to explain how "there cannot be one rule for most of us and wiggle room for others".

This comes after allegations that 48-year-old Mr Cummings made two trips to County Durham, where his family lives, despite social restrictions being in place to stop the spread of coronavirus.

Since then, the Prime Minister offered his “full support” to his chief adviser, along with several other members of government including Health Secretary Matt Hancock.

In a statement to twitter, Caroline said: "I made my views clear to my whip yesterday. There cannot be one rule for most of us and wriggle room for others. My inbox is rammed with very angry constituents and I do not blame them. They have made difficult sacrifices over the course of the last 9 weeks."

Other conservative MP's such as Robert Halfon and George Freeman have also expressed their views on the situation, but Southampton MP, Royston Smith and Eastleigh MP, Paul Holmes have yet to publicly address the situation.
