FOUR patients who tested positive for coronavirus in Hampshire have died in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the NHS, the death toll is now at 579, up from 575 yesterday.
The figures cover University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS), Solent NHS Trust, Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
At University Hospital Southampton, 183 people have died after becoming infected with the virus, up by one since yesterday.
While at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, the number of deaths is 154, with none in the last 24 hours.
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust has recorded 17 patient deaths, again, with no new recorded deaths.
A total of 225 people who tested positive for the virus have died at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, a rise of three since yesterday.
