POLICE have vowed to seize motorbikes being off-road in the New Forest.
Officers have pledged to act after receiving reports of bikers riding across environmentally-sensitive parts of the Forest, including Bramshaw and neighbouring Penn Common.
Posting on social media they said: "If you see motorbikes being ridden in this way please report them to us.
"If you have registration numbers and maybe even photographs, please email all the details to richard.williams@hampshire.pnn.police.uk.
"We have the power to seize these bikes but only with your help."
One of the people who replied to their post said: "Nearly got run over by a teenager riding at the back of Chewton Common with no helmet. Nearly got my dog, too."
Problems have also been reported in the Holmlsey area, where bikers have been scaring the ponies.
