A MAN has been charged in connection with cannabis production after 500 cannabis plants were reportedly seized from a Southampton address.
Puan Hoang, 26, of Prince of Wales Avenue, Southampton, has been charged with producing a controlled drug of class B - cannabis.
It comes after police reportedly stormed an address in Prince of Wales Avenue in Millbrook to discover what is thought to be a cannabis farm.
The force said it confiscated between 400 and 500 plants following the raid at around 8am yesterday.
According to officers, a drone team identified a “rather unusual heat source” and a strong glow coming from the address.
The pre-planned warrant was carried out under Fortress, Hampshire Constabulary’s campaign to reduce the harm of drug-related violence.
Hoang was remanded and was due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today (Tuesday, June 16).
