Bonfire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to almost 300 fires in the open across Hampshire and Isle of Wight in one month.
It was announced on Friday that in May, crews were rushed to hundreds of open fires.
If you are having a bonfire, the following tips have been issued:
1) Inform Hants Fire Control by calling 02031 620063
2) Keep a bucket of water nearby
3) Never leave it unattended.
