MORE than £16 million paid out in emergency support to Eastleigh businesses who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The grants have been distributed to a total of £1,223 borough businesses, with more money still available.
The Economy Team at the council is currently processing a steady stream of applications coming through from businesses.
Civic chiefs have confirmed that there is still money available to be claimed, and any business owners impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic have been encouraged to continue to apply for the government grants.
While some businesses may not be eligible for the funding, the government has also launched a "Bounce Back" loan scheme, which businesses can apply for to help them survive now that restrictions are beginning to be eased.
