Two men have been arrested following an assault in Salisbury.
Officers and the ambulance service were called to the incident at Alabare Place, Barnard Street, shortly after 1.30pm yesterday, following a report that two men had been involved in a disorder.
Both men had suffered injuries and were taken to Salisbury District Hospital for treatment.
Both men, who are aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested on suspicion of GBH and taken to Melksham custody following their treatment.
They remain in custody this morning.
Insp Pete Sparrow said: "I'd like to reassure residents that while news of this incident will no doubt be concerning, this was an isolated incident between two individuals who are known to each other and there is no wider risk to the public."
