FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man from a smoke-filled kitchen after a fire spread from the garden.
West Yorkshire Fire and Resuce Service (WYFRS) was called to the blaze on Tichborne Road, in Bradford, at around 0.48am this morning.
Three fire engines rushed to the scene - two from Bradford Fire Station and one from Shipley Fire Station.
The fire was raging in the garden of a property and then also spread to the house itself.
It was the kitchen that went up in flames, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread any further.
Crews used one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and a high-powered fan to clear smoke from the property.
Firefighters rescued one man from the house and administered first aid.
Ambulance crews then turned up and rushed the man, who was suffering from smoke inhalation, to hospital.
